Concept Art




Concept art is a form of illustration where the main goal is to convey a visual representation of a design, idea, and/or mood for use in films, video games, animation, or comic books before it is put into the final product. Concept art is also referred to as visual development and/or concept design. This term can also be applied to retail design, set design, fashion design and architectural design.
A concept artist is an individual who generates a visual design for an item, character, or area that does not yet exist. This includes, but is not limited to, film production, animation production and more recently video game production. A concept artist may be required for nothing more than preliminary artwork, or may be required to be part of a creative team until a project reaches fruition. While it is necessary to have the skills of a fine artist, a concept artist must also be able to work to strict deadlines in the capacity of a graphic designer. Some concept artists may start as fine artists, industrial designers, animators, or even special effects artists. Interpretation of ideas and how they are realized is where the concept artist's individual creativity is most evident, as subject matter is often beyond their control
The two most widely covered themes in concept art are science fiction and fantasy. Concept art has always had to cover many subjects, being the primary medium in film poster design since the early days of Hollywood, however, since the recent rise of concept art used in video game production concept art has expanded to cover genres from football to the Mafia and beyond
Concept art ranges from photorealistic to traditional painting techniques. This is facilitated by the use of special software by which an artist is able to fill in even small details pixel by pixel, or utilize the natural paint settings to imitate real paint. When commissioning work, a company will often require a large amount of preliminary work to be produced. Artists working on a project often produce a large turnover in the early stages to provide a broad range of interpretations, most of this being in the form of sketches. Later pieces of concept art are produced as realistically as required.

Type Specimen Poster

Type Specimen Poster is create a type specimen poster to show case our newly created fonts. A type specimen is a poster or a poster or publication shows the range of a particular typeface in use. Printers and typographers have produced type specimen for hundreds of years. This project gives you the chance to explore text, composition, structure, hierarch y, color, alignment and grids.


Type as Image

Type as image is a collection of typographic experiment where the words are treated as images that speak about their own meaning. Typographic illustration or shaping text is essentially lighthearted and fun. It turns straight typography into graphic configurations with a degree of legibility, informing and entertaining the reader in an emotive way, as well as relieving the formality of conventional text.

Design Layout

A part from direct representation, we could base we design on associated themes. Whatever the idea, obvious or subtle, working from a drawing or photographic reference will help insure the end result is visually convincing. The different characteristics of handwriting, using a typewriter or a computer, or cutting and pasting typesetting, all give very different effects and invite experimentation.

I use lot of colour for my mouse pad design to represent my life is colour, everyday have a lot nice memories or new challenge come for me.I also add some pop art style at my design to represent i young and i use some word to represent my humor.

COLOR THEORY

Red, yellow and blue

TERTIARY COLORS

Pop Art


Pop Art (普艺术)是Popular art(流行艺术)的简称,又称新写实主义,因为Pop Art 的POP通常被视为“流行的、时髦的”一词(popular)的缩写。它代表着一种流行文化。 在美国现代文明的影响下而产生的一种国际性艺术运动,多以社会上流的形象或戏剧中的偶然事件作为表现内容。它反映了战后成长起来的青年一代的社会与文化价值观,力求表现自我,追求标新立异的心理。Pop art 同时也是一些讽刺,市侩贪婪本性的沿伸。简单来说,pop art是当今较底层艺术市场的前身。pop art艺术家大量复制印刷的艺术品造成了相当多评论。早期某些pop art艺术家力争博物馆典藏或赞助的机会。并使用很多廉价颜料创作,作品不久之后就无法保存。这也引起一些争议。1960年代,pop art的影响力量开始在英国和美国流传,造就了许多当代的艺术家。后期的pop art几乎都在探讨美国的大众文化。Pop art特殊的地方在于它对于流行时尚有相当特别而且长久的影响力。不少服装设计,平面设计师都直接或间接的从pop art中取得或剽窃灵感。

Positive And Negative Space


平面设计中的正负形是由原来的图底关系转变而来.早在1915年就以卢宾(Rnbin)的名字来命名,所以又称为卢宾反转图形. 多数情况下,当你注视杯子的时候,这就是图形,黑色的部分就成了背景;但当你注视2个头影时,那也成为了图形,而白色的部分就成了背景. 正负形如今被广泛用于平面设计,建筑设计等诸多领域.平面正负形是一种艺术图案,它可以给人以幻觉,使人产生两种感觉,这就是平面正负形的魅力。
